I look forward to an awesome group of youth, fun young adults, and the active folks who do so much meaningful mission!
Born in the hills of Arkansas, and raised between there and Montreat, church was a constant and stable influence. God had a plan, wouldn't give up, and eventually, eventually I figured that out. Most recently I served a Presbyterian Church, skied as often as possible (and well enough for a southerner, thank you), and gardened with no acclaim. I finally learned to ride a bike last year, play a mean game of Scrabble, read too much, and ages ago was once a useful rower and rowing coach.
There was a decade in there where I tried out all the best college coffee shops, with undergrad at Drake & Oxford, a masters at Arkansas (ask me about my thesis, while we're at a barbeque), and seminary at Harvard and Boston U.
Between and since, I have really enjoyed camp ministry in New Hampshire, Colorado and North Carolina. And currently I write high school curriculum, and write and teach about faith and environment for the denomination.
Providence has just overwhelmed me with welcome and warmth, and I look forward to getting to know the rest of ya'll over a Diet Coke, a Frisbee, or a good theological question.
Peace be with you,
Hansen
