Become a Stephen Minister at PPC
Are you a compassionate person? A good listener? Then Stephen Ministry might be the perfect fit for you! Stephen Minister Training is held annually; Stephen Ministers receive 50 hours of training and serve for a minimum of two years. Training is conducted by our Stephen Leaders and experts in the fields of grief and depression. Other topics covered include listening skills, feelings, aging, crisis, confidentiality, boundaries, extending Christian care, and more. Stephen Ministers often say they use these skills in daily life, and grow spiritually as a result of this training.
Contact Stephen Leader Sherry Robinson to express interest in applying.

PPC is a Stephen Ministry Congregation
and offers this ministry to members of the church and community.
Experiencing loss? Grieving the death of a loved one? Feeling lonely?
Experiencing long-term illness yourself, or within your family?
Separated? Going through a divorce? Job loss?
Stephen Ministers meet with their care receiver (same gender) for one hour per week to listen, encourage and pray for their care receiver. Confidentiality is key to Stephen Ministry, and the names of care receivers are not disclosed.
Whatever your situation, if you would benefit from the confidential care of a Stephen Minister,
please contact our Referrals Coordinator, Mrs. Jane Bauer .
